15 Strykers and various support equipment arrived at US Army Japan’s Yokohama North Dock in preparation for OS-12, a bilateral exercise to increase combat readiness and interoperability between U.S. Army and Japan Ground Self Defense Force, Oct 24 through Nov 7. OS-12 -- Approximately 750 Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii and approximately 600 JGSDF members from the 33rd Infantry Regiment, 10th Division in Mie Prefecture will participate in this bilateral training exercise. The training commanders for Orient Shield 12 are Lt. Col. Jon Larsen, Commander, 1-14 Infantry Battalion, U.S. Army, and Col. Koji Furuya, Commander, 33rd Infantry Regiment, JGSDF.
