Interview with First Lieutenant Mike Baskin (hometown: San Diego, CA), who ran in the Tarin Kwot Marathon in Afghanistan. He talks about this being his first marathon, and when he first got to his area of operation there was nothing there. He also talks about how this is a great opportunity to run and have fun outside of the mission and how he trained six days a week for the marathon after recovering from surgery.
