Relief efforts continue as volunteers clear and dewater the Breezy Point infrastructure in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Utility companies repair power lines prior to reenergizing and firemen, police, and citizens coordinate volunteer support to help neighbors “gut and pump” flood damaged homes. Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic Hurricane on record and caused the most damage in New York and New Jersey Oct. 29, 2012. Includes soundbites from Kevin Adams, Erin Daly, and Jason Fernald, relief volunteers, and Marion Tierney, a Breezy Point homeowner.
