Governor McDonnell signs a proclamation with Col. Paul Olsen, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District Commander. The Corps will be performing a feasibility study on how to go forward with building a Jetty to protect the navigation channel and harbor of the island from direct wave attack, and, during winter, from sheets of ice that can pile up causing damage to boats.
