Pvt. Guthrie L. Green of Siloam Springs, Arkansas discusses his experience as a high school student at the National Guard Patriot Academy at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Complex in Butlerville, Ind. Green is a graduate of the last class of the Patriot Academy high school which began as a pilot program in 2009 to offer a second chance to new recruits to earn their high school diplomas and serve their country.
The program will close its doors and case its organizational colors on January 12, 2013. Green is a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard and will attend advanced individual training to become a Field Artillery Automated Tactical Data Systems Specialist (13D). Available in High Definition.
