Administrator Andrew Natsios of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) gives a briefing on progress in Iraq. He talks about Iraqis taking ownership of the reconstruction, his visit to a new power plant, and says there are more than 9,000 projects across the country. He fields questions from Iraqi reporters through a translator and other reporters as well on funding obligations; various kinds of infrastructure that need development; reconstruction of water and power plants; plans for the infrastructure in Fallujah; support for the Iraqi election.
