Second Lieutenant David Lucas (Hometown: Knoxville, TN), 10th Mountain Division, receives the Bronze Star in a ceremony. Eight other Soldiers received Army Commendation Medals for actions they took under 2LT Lucas' orders. The ceremony also contains the reenlistment of several Soldiers. Major General Lloyd Austin, Commanding General, 10th Mountain Division, presents the awards. He follows with a speech to the troops.
