More than 500 personnel from U.S. Army South, U.S. Southern Command, and other military branches and government
agencies deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to participate in
Integrated Advance 2013. Integrated Advance is a biennial exercise
which Army South and U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM)train to
support the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of
State in a humanitarian crisis scenerio. This year's exercise focused on
mass migration in the Caribbean. Mass migration operations are
complex and large in scale, requiring coordinated interagency
U.S. government response. Integrated Advance allowed U.S. Army
South and SOUTHCOM to increase interoperability with other
U.S. government agencies. Includes interviews with Col. Gregory Maxton and Maj. Gen. Fredrick Rudesheim. Available in high definition.
