Cadets and Career Fair Representatives interact; Cadets participate in outdoor activities provided by Arkansas National Guard Recruiting.
Background: Cadets with the Arkansas National Guard Youth Challenge Program participated
in a Career Fun Day split between outdoor activities and a career/education fair.
Representatives from various organizations and state schools set up booths and
talked to the cadets about opportunities available to them in the workforce and
in the classroom. Outside of the career fair, Arkansas National Guard recruiters
set up a few activities for the cadets - a rock-climbing wall, basketball shoot,
football toss and more.
The Career Fun Day was set up to celebrate the 23 cadets - more than one
quarter of the class - to pass their GED during the first round of testing. It
provided a look at future opportunities beyond the program, while encouraging
the remaining cadets to strive towards meeting the same goal. Also available in high definition
