Manpreet Kaur talks about her brother, Cpl. Gurpreet Singh, a fire
team leader who served with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, and was killed
in action in Sangin district, Helmand Province, Afghanistan on June 22, 2011.
Singh, a native of Punjab, India, who immigrated to Sacramento, Calif., led his Marines
through intense fighting during the Spring Offensive and was shot on his body armor
during a firefight. Singh's family accepted the Bronze Star Medal with a Combat V on
his behalf during an award ceremony, May 30. Also available in high definition
