Adam Stanek, a Clermont, Fla., native and vehicle operator with Combat Logistics Regiment 2, Regional Command (Southwest), talks about his position as the driver in the lead navigation vehicle for convoys through Helmand province, Afghanistan. Stanek serves as the eyes, ears and protective shield for convoys of up to 40 vehicles pushing through rugged desert terrain where possible attacks and improvised explosive devices are a constant threat.
