The Coast Guard held a ceremony honoring the fallen crewmembers of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter While Alder in Baton Rouge, La., Dec. 7, 2008.

Seventeen of the 21 crewmembers perished in the collision between the White Alder and a Taiwanese-flagged vessel on the Mississippi river where it sank to the bottom and rests today.
