    U.S. Coast Guard Atlantic Area

Cadets and crew aboard Coast Guard Cutter Eagle ware the ship and turn it around by bringing the stern into the wind July 29, 2009. The crew has been navigating through low-visibility conditions for several days. At times, visibility was reduced to less than 50 yards due to thick fog. In low visibility, which is less than two nautical miles, the ship has three additional lookouts and an additional navigator to help ensure a safe transit. Produced by Petty Officer 2nd Class Etta Smith.
