Co-Chair Joint Armed Services Commission, Rep. Dan Saddler (R-12, Eagle river), provides his view on the importance of Vigilant Guard -2014 (VG-AK14) to the people of Alaska. VG-AK14 is a joint exercise between multiple state, federal and National Guard organizations to practice responding to a large scale natural disaster, like the 1964 9.2 magnitude earthquake that struck south central Alaska and the subsequent tsunami.
