Clarke III, Director Air National Guard, talks about the Soldiers and Airmen of the Oregon Army National Guard CBRNE Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP) team as they prepare to deploy to Alaska in support of Vigilant Guard – Alaska 2014 (VG-AK14). VG-AK14 is a joint exercise between multiple state, federal and National Guard organizations to practice responding to a large scale natural disaster, like the 1964 9.2 magnitude earthquake that struck south central Alaska and the subsequent tsunami.
