Evan Needham, a Motor Transportation Operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 1, speaks about the Defeat the Device Improvised Explosive Device training program aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 15. The training was provided by the Marine Corps Engineer School and is designed to prepare Marines for deployment in hostile environments. The Defeat the Device training program has trained more than 250,000 students in the skill sets needed to sustain mobility and force deployments in deployed environments.
