Through partnership between nations “Beyond the Horizon” presents an opportunity for Guatemalan and U.S. medical personnel to learn from one another while providing a needed service to impoverished communities. The United States is participating in a humanitarian relief effort in various portions of Guatemala. The effort is called ‘Beyond the Horizon-Guatemala’. These efforts are spearheaded by U.S. Army South and members from the active Army, Reserve Component and the National Guard. They come from all across the United States and meet in Guatemala to assist in humanitarian relief efforts.
