(International version) This video looks at how medical advances that began 100 years ago are still used today, by both military and civilian hospitals. It asks medical, military and history experts whether dealing with today’s combat injuries– such as IED strikes and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) – were influenced by treatment of injuries such as shellshock 100 years ago. It also highlights how technology is now on the frontline of medical treatment but asks: is today’s problem that there aren’t enough medical personnel to operate the technology?
