The Old Guard and reenactors of the War of 1812 unfurl and raise a hand stitched, replica of the 15-star, 15-stripe flag to
commemorate the 200th anniversary of the defense of Ft. McHenry, September 14, 1814. The ascent of the stars and stripes would inspire
1st Lt. Francis Scott Key of the District of Columbia Militia to pen the
immortal words that would become the national anthem. The flag was
raised at exactly the same day and time as it was 200 years ago during the War of 1812. Available in high definition.
