The 2nd Brigade Combat Team conducts a cordon and search in Southern Baghdad. 1-9 Field Artillery Command Sergeant Major, CSM Tony Smith (hometown: Greenville, NC) squeezes in a little fun by handing out goodies to the local kids. CSM Smith also tells residents that Coalition and Iraqi Security Forces need help and cooperation from all Iraqis during their search for weapons. CSM Smith also stresses to worried residents that their mission is to search for killers, not to steal personal belongings from Iraqi citizens.
