I’m here at the Transformers Unite event with Optimus Prime. It’s pretty cool. The kids love him. I’ve even seen a couple kids running around dressed as Transformers. Me, myself, if I was a Transformer, I would probably be Asparagus Steamed, but that’s probably just because I’m a little warm out here.

The U-S-O in Yongsan Garrison, Korea recently held the “Transformers Unite” party for service members and their families. The U-S-O staff treated their guests with food, including hand-made sandwiches, cake, and hot dogs fresh off the grill. They also had Transformers toys for the children as part of the festivities. Sonya Too-Ow has a personal reason to make these events special.
Sonya Tuuao:
I am a military child. I’ve been born and raised in a military family, so I know what it’s like. I know what I wanted as a child, and so I think this would have been awesome if it happened during my time.

A special guest made a surprise appearance, giving a great photo opportunity for the parents and their children. Believe it or not, he’s actually smiling right now. One of several activities included “robot dancing” for the children. Some were more energetic than others. Some of the indoor activities included a bean bag toss and a ring toss. Several children also enjoyed having volunteers paint their faces.
