Two years ago, Gary Sinise helped launch "Get Skills to Work", a coalition co-founded by GE, Alcoa, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin, in order to train and place veterans in manufacturing skills and careers. "Get Skills to Work" leverages veterans and transitioning service members' know-how and determination in revitalizing American manufacturing. Veterans have served in uniform, and they continue serving an important role as civilians. A strong manufacturing industry is essential to maintaining a strong and well- equipped Army. In 2011, Sinese founded the Gary Sinese Foundation to support Wounded Warriors and their families.
CSM Adkins will talk about his transition to civilian career and the necessity for everyone to give appropriate thought about post-service career.
