November 11, 2014, was the official grand opening of the Tubmanburg Ebola Treatment Unit in Liberia. The new unit was constructed by the Armed Forces of Liberia with support from and oversight from the Department of Defense. The ETUs will provide a resource the protects families and communities in the surrounding area of Tubmanburg, Liberia, from the spread of Ebola by isolating those with the disease in a medical facility.
