Engineer units from across America including the 389th Engineer Battalion, and the 387th, 411th and 801st Engineer Companies got to spend this year's annual training doing something out of the ordinary. Army Sergeant Valerie Resciniti has the story.
Tag: The entire landing strip coves 574 acres of Ft. Irwin desert, required the use of more than 200 pieces of equipment, and cost approximately $750,000. The runways will provide the opportunity for special forces, nato and other units to conduct real-world urban combined tactical training. Soundbites include CPT Dempsey Spiekermeier - 411th Eng. Co. Commander; SGM Rickie Virgil - FLS NCOIC and SSG Alex Arduser - Assistant Operations Officer, 411th Eng Co. Produced by SFC Valerie Resciniti.
