The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is plotting to use geospatial data to improve its processes across the full spectrum of operations business lines by offering geospatial information systems basic training to its employees. The technology is expected to reduce wasted time and effort searching for hard copy files contained in filing cabinets while increasing availability to digital data, which would be accessible online for both internal and public use.
