People often enjoy time with their friends or family. However, some give their time and effort to others who really need their help. The American Red Cross volunteer recognition ceremony is an opportunity to recognize volunteers who offer support to the community.

It’s exciting to get recognized for volunteering. Some of us volunteer a couple of hours a week, others is on special events , but it’s really neat to get recognized and come together with every other red cross volunteer here in community.

For me what it means it’s just a way to give to the community where people are needing support, so feeling in the hole where needs aren’t being met and helping out others.
