Undersea Rescue Command (URC) conducts Submarine Rescue Chamber (SRC) training operations aboard HOS Dominator off the coast of Catalina Island to maintain qualifications and readiness. The SRC dives to 90 feet and mates with a portable training fixture simulating a submarine hatch before returning to the surface. The SRC conducts shallow water rescues, diving to a maximum depth of 850 feet.
