Without critical communication elements, the mission of NATO would essentially be impossible. A Command that is indispensable to this is the NATO Communication and Information Systems Group, or CIS. It’s a team of operators, technicians, and administrators who manage and ensure reliable links for NATO Command and Control. With home locations in 12 countries a total of 14 nations provide lead support for 21 units across Europe.
