Two F-22 Raptors of the 95th Fighter Squadron out Tyndall AFB in Florida landed in Ämari Air Base at noon.
"F-22 Raptors only operate in carefully selected bases and the fact that two landed here today is a big recognition of the professionalism of the whole Estonian Air Force," Commander of the Estonian Air Force Colonel Jaak Tarien said.
This is the Raptors first overseas deployment to Europe. Four jets arrived at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany a week ago.
As well as being an international training exercise, the deployment will also send a message to potential enemies, showing just how fast advanced US air power can be deployed to anywhere in the world if such need arises.
"This deployment advances our airpower evolution and demonstrates our resolve and commitment to European safety and security,” said General Frank Gorenc, the commander of US Air Forces in Europe and Africa.
The Lockheed Martin F-22 and F-22A Raptors are the US Air Force's most advanced aircraft. They are a single-seat, twin-engine, all weather stealth tactical fighter aircraft.
