U.S. Marines and Benin's National Surveillance Police students conducted a live-fire range at Benin's Military Officer Academy in Toffo, Benin, Sept. 21, 2015. The Marines assisted the NPS students during the live-fire event. The training was part of a weeklong exercise where the students were able to conduct practical application from the monthlong training with the Marines. At the request of the Benin government and through coordination with the local U.S. embassy, the Marines are training the NPS in infantry tactics to help the NPS counter illicit trafficking along their borders.
