Marines practice ground threat response training techniques during Exercise Blue Chromite 16 October 21, 2015 on Okinawa, Japan. The Marines used the Griffin 50 missile plume simulator and the radar warning transmitor system to simulate radar warnings, and they used smokey sam missiles as visual warnings for the pilots. The ground threat response training was part of the fire support exercise that began Blue Chromite 16.
