The DoD Disability Awards Ceremony is the Department’s premier annual disability event. Awards from the Secretary of Defense are presented to approximately 19 outstanding employees with disabilities and wounded, ill, or injured Service members from all participating components. Additionally, awards are given to a Military Department, a medium sized component, a small component, and an intelligence community component, for their efforts in employing individuals with disabilities. This year, marks the 35th anniversary of the awards ceremony."
