1st Recon Marines conduct wet SPIE training Marines with Force Reconnaissance Co, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, conduct wet special patrol insertion and extraction training at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 2, 2015. The Recon Marines conducted the SPIE training to familiarize themselves for future amphibious operations. Wet SPIE training and helicopter insertion over water missions also present special challenges for the aviators who fly these missions as part of their required training.
