Runway activity during Exercise Checkered Flag 16-01. Footage is of take-offs and landings of various aircraft participating, plus aircraft preparation. Units shown include F-22s with 95th Fighter Squadron, T-38s with the 2nd Fighter Training Squadron, F-16s with 77th Fighter Squadron, F-16s with the 18th Aggressor Squadron. Checkered Flag is a large-force exercise which simulates the employment of a large number of aircraft and is an opportunity to highlight integration of legacy and fifth generation aircraft and the increase of overall situational awareness of the fleet.
