Navy Region Mid-Atlantic is the regional coordinator for all shore-based naval personnel and shore activities in the Mid-Atlantic region. Encompassing 20 states … 14 installations … and 50 Naval Operational Support Centers. As the naval shore installation management headquarters for the Mid-Atlantic region, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic provides coordination of base operating support functions for operating forces throughout the region in support of the Fleet … Fighter … and Family. The “Fleet” represents the operating forces of the Navy … the region ensures all installation requirements to train and operate the Fleet are maintained and ready. This includes our ports, airfields, training ranges, weapons storage facilities and more. The “Fighter” represents the men and women in the operating forces. We ensure each installation’s ability to facilitate the manning, training and equipping of the Navy’s fighting force. The “Family” represents the men and women of the armed forces and their families. To ensure fighting forces are supported on all fronts, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Family and Community Services, Housing and Safety provide the quality of life, support and services that allow the fighting forces to focus on mission accomplishment. We do this throughout the 20-state region by standardizing the services; being open and transparent about our operations, and aligning and collaborating efforts so that we can be both efficient and effective for our customers. We are your Citizens… Your Leaders… Your Volunteers … and Your Neighbors. America’s Navy … Always defending … Always on watch … Protecting our freedoms whenever and wherever they are needed.
