The New York Air National Guard and New York Army National Guard participate in joint forces training at Fort Drum, New York on March 5, 2016. CH-47F Chinook helicopters flown by the U.S. Army National Guard's Company B, 3rd Battalion 126th Aviation inserted the battlefield airmen from the 274th Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS) into an urban training environment. The Civil Air Patrol provided air support throughout the exercise flying their Cessna to help ground communication. The 274th ASOS mission is to advise U.S. Army commanders on how to best utilize U.S. and NATO assets for Close Air Support (CAS). (U.S. Air National Guard video by Master Sgt. Eric Miller/released)
