MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. - Marines across I Marine Expeditionary Force executed Command Post Exercise-2 at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar April 25 - 30. I MEF's CPX-2 is the second exercise in a four-part series, leading up to a live, virtual and constructive (LVC) exercise scheduled for August 2016 that tests I MEF command element's ability to develop and execute plans as a MEF-level deployed force (approx. 50,000 troops); and to improve the command element's ability to command and control operations in a complex environment that includes the employment of Joint, Cyber, Special Operations and Information related capabilities.
