The 5k run was to pay homage to Cpl. Sara Medina and Lance Cpl. Jacob Hug, both combat camera Marines, who died in a helicopter crash supporting Joint Task Force 505 during Operation Sahayogi Haat in May 2015 after the Nepal earthquake.
