Go behind the scenes of a historic Gray Eagle flight that took place March 16, as Soldiers from Company F, Gunfighters, 1-1 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 1ID, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, validate a corridor of airspace that will allow for better, more precise training for the “Big Red One.”
Original plans for validating the path were put into place around five years ago, making the mission’s success a huge factor for aerial training going forward.
“We have some incredible professionals in this organization,” said Capt. A. Nicholas Parsai, commander of the “Phoenix” company. Parsai said his Soldiers’ attention to detail, commitment to excellence and dedication to risk mitigation make flights like this possible.
