Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Kepner, 11th Command Sgt. Maj. of the Army National Guard, National Guard Bureau, visited troops in Romania at the Romanian Land Forces Combat Training Center, Cincu, Romania. The troops are participating in a multinational military exercise called Saber Guardian, involving approximately 2,800 military personnel from ten nations. The objectives of this exercise are to build multinational, regional and joint partnership capacity by enhancing military relationships, exchanging professional experiences, and improving interoperability between the land forces from the participating countries. Command Sgt. Maj. Kepner discusses his role in the National Guard and gives a special message to the troops, their families and employers.
