PAPENOO, Tahiti -- U.S. Marines and sialors with Task Force Koa Moana 16-4 integrated with French forces during an exercise in Papenoo, Tahiti, Sept. 26, 2016. Marines integrated squads with French forces and patrolled through the jungle in order to test their capabilities when engaging an enemy. The Koa Moana exercise seeks to enhance senior military leader engagements between allied and partner nations in the Pacific with a collective interest in military-to-military relations and to discuss key aspects of military opeartions, capability development and interoperability in the South Pacific.
