FAAONE, Tahiti -- U.S. Marines and sailors with Task Force Koa Moana 16-4, integrated with French forces during an exercise in Faaone, Tahiti, Sept. 26, 2016. Koa Moana and French forces participated in a ship to shore insertion to help improve upon relations and build camaraderie between the two partner nations. The Koa Moana exercise seeks to enhance senior military leader engagements between allied and partner nations in the Pacific with a collective interest in military-to-military relations and to discuss key aspects of military operations, capability development and interoperability in the South Pacific.
