On Saturday October 15th, the navy welcomed the most technologically advanced surface combatant to the fleet. DDG1000, USS Zumwalt was commissioned in Baltimore Maryland. Named after Elmo Zumwalt, the youngest
CNO in the Navy, DDG1000 incorporates a stealthy design and advanced weapons systems. The main speakers included SECNAV, CNO, PACOM and SURFPAC.
