U.S. Marines and Sailors with Task Force Koa Moana 16-4 integrated with the French Army and the Republic of Fiji Military Forces for the French Army obstacle courses during Croix Du Sud in Plum, New Caledonia Nov. 12, 2016. Croix Du Sud is a multi-national, humanitarian assistance disaster relief and non-combatant evacuation operation exercise conducted every two years to prepare nations in the event of a cyclone in the South Pacific. The Koa Moana exercise seeks to enhance senior military leader engagements between allied and partner nations in the Pacific with a collective interest in military-to-military relations.
