U.S. Marines with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) conduct a Deployment for Training (DFT) at Ft. Irwin, Calif., on Jan. 14, 2017. The DFT was a simulated battle where the Marines worked alongside the U.S. Army's 11th Armored Combat Reconnaissance to attack and defend against the U.S. Army's 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Stryker Brigade Combat Team, to train against a thinking opponent and prepare for future deployments.
