The JMTG-U mission is geared towards training and professionalizing the Ukrainian army and developing Ukrainian combat training center staff. The final training event for the Ukrainian soldiers he has been mentoring is a combined-arms battalion live-fire exercise held at the Yavoriv Combat Training Center located on the International Peacekeeping and Security Center near Yavoriv, Ukraine on March 29, 2017.
