Maj. Gen. Eugene Haase, Air Force Special Operations Command vice commander, retired after 34 years of dedicated service April 10, 2017. During his career, he was a command pilot with more than 3,500 hours in 12 different aircraft. He also gained 114 combat hours in several operations, including Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
