The Second Marine Division Band performs "Follow Me" accompanied by Marines with the Second Marine Division singing along. "Follow Me" was inspired by "The Silent Second March" published by Jack Lee Music Publishing Company in 1945 in honor of the heroes of Tarawa. Later in the 1980s, the same Jack Lee wrote the lyrics and music for what is known today as the Second Marine Division's Official March. "Follow Me" has been played by military bands worldwide and its lyrics still conjure up feelings of pride and comradery for all the Marines and Sailors of the Follow Me Division past and present (U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl.
