Interview between Lieutenant Colonel Karl Reed, Commander of 520th Infantry, and KOMO in Seattle. He says the insurgency came in this area as the result of a weak police force, so Multinational and Iraqi National Forces have to step up operations to secure the area. Close air support used with precision munitions. Americans have had about 10 wounded in action over the last few weeks in the area, but no casualties in today's fighting. Says troops know they have support at home. Talks about replacement of forces, sharing knowledge and experience.
