BOEING B-17F MEMPHIS BELLE™ B-Roll footage. Between 1942 and 1945 William Wyler volunteered to serve as a Major in the United States Army Air Forces and directed the documentary: The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress (1944), about a Boeing B-17 and its U.S. Army Air Force crew. This is some of the B-Roll from the National Archives that is in Public Domain. Ken LaRock from the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force Public Affairs Division recorded the restoration b-roll at the end of clip.
